Help w/ Aim Phoneline Anyone?

Just got this, works great as far as receiving calls. I highly recommend it to anyone who doesn’t mind NOT making calls but receive them only (Download @ http://www.aimphoneline.com/ it's FREE!). One problem is echo. I need to know if you can use a USB phone with it. They (AOL) say "No, the FREE AIM® Phoneline service does not support using a PAP2 device or VoIP router that would enable you to use the AIM Phoneline service with a standard telephone." but there would have to be something that can be used for the calls other than a headset or a mic and speakers. They said also installing a USB Phone. But isn’t that VoIP? Those are the only phones I can find to buy. Anyone know or help? Please? Any idea's or suggestions welcome! P.S. Already Tried the Skype phone thing, didn't like it as much as this one (AIM Phoneline). Plus you get a number with aim, with Skype, you have to buy a number.
