Are there any free voice/video chat rooms anymore?

Seriously!!!! It seems like everything is about dating and sex. Aren't there any regular video/voice chat rooms where you talk about life the universe and everything?

2. Maybe people who like to talk about the universe don't like to do it in chat rooms! Just kidding. On a more serious note, even on Yahoo you will find chat rooms on different themes, you need to take some time and search them through. The dating/romance/hookup chat rooms however are the most popular no matter where you look. You should try chat rooms that don't have video because people there are more committed to actually chatting and they certainly wont spend the whole time asking you to come on cam. Otherwise you might consider joining a group or forum on the topics that you're interested in and see if you can make chat pals there. At least you'll know that you are interested in the same things before you start chatting.
