Are there any VOIP phone service company that sends you a bill? I would like to use a VOIP company for my phone services needs, however, i am reluctant to let them bill me through my credit cards, and I would rather see the paper or emailed bill every month. I like Vonage but they only bill your thru your credit cards. Any other company that you might know that bills you instead?

Appropriate Internet for VoIP phone? Now, I have High Speed Internet (Cable) from a renowned Cable company as I heard it is necessary for my VoIP phone. Before that I had DSL internet from a renowned phone company, With that DSL, phone sound quality was poor as upload speed was low. I am not happy with my present High Speed Internet Carrier, as at-least once or twice in a week (usually at mid-day) their connection is interrupted and so is my phone connection. landline phone through pc not using voip, but regular phone service? I am trying to find out if it is possible to connect a standard telephone with standard landline service to a pc and talk through a pc headset instead of the standard landline handset. The reason being: I am trying to find a way to answer the phone with my standard company greeting, instead of physically saying it each time I answer the phone. How can I converge all my phone lines for easy access? I have a regular land line, 2 voip lines,and a cell phone. Is there some way I can make all of the available throughout the house? I can buy a new router, switch voip company's and/or buy new phones (except for the cell). I was thinking something like an office system, but definately focused at the home user. The landline is only used as a backup dialup connection and the occasional fax (send/receive), but I would like to have easy access to it in case of an emergency. The landline has no extra features. The 2 voip lines, and cell phone all have caller id, call waiting, voice mail and 3 way calling. I would like the ability to conferece between them, and direct a fax received on any of the lines (except the cell). I also have 3 pc's in the house that all run windows xp home, but only one of them's on all the time, if there's a virtual solution. If I'm asking too much, or it would cost a lot, what about something that comes close. Thanks! :)

Why does the government insist on taxing VOIP phones? Everytime it is brought up, they mention unfairness to traditional phone companies that have to pay the Line tax. The thing that is never mentioned: VOIP users ALREADY pay for this tax on the internet service! If you tax the VOIP aspect, you are taxing the user TWICE for the same thing! Why is the argument more v. less taxes and not the simple unfairness of this double taxation?
