In Yahoo messenger voice chat could not be established for the last few days. What could be the problem? For the last few days I could not establish voice chat in Yahoo messenger. Error message says " There was a problem communicating with voice server. Attempting to reconnect." What should I do to eradicate the recurring problem ?

Yahoo! Messenger Voice Error? I have been using Yahoo! Messenger 9, until I decided to use Messenger 8 because on Messenger 9 there were apparent bugs that Yahoo did not fix, and Messenger 8 was working fine after I downloaded it. I have been going to Yahoo Messenger Chat Rooms using Messenger 8 for a while, and have not had any problems. Tonight, I went into a chat room, and it came up with a "Voice Error." I have never encountered this error before, and I am wondering if anyone can help me resolve this easily. Why does yahoo messenger crash when a voice chat is started? I and my boyfriend have the latest yahoo messengers installed on our laptops. Since at the moment we live in two separate states, we voice chat on yahoo a lot. Every now and then when I try to call him or he tries to call me it tells me that yahoo messenger has encountered an error and needs to shut down. It searches for a problem but can't find any. Once it shuts down once, it will shut down every time either of us try to call each other until I un-install and re-install yahoo messenger. It does it more frequently these days and I'm so sick of it. I'm pretty tech saavy, so if u can find a solution I'll try anything. Thanx

I'm using Airtel GPRS. It's sufficient to browse. But it doesn't allow me to voice-chat over Yahoo msr. Help! My mobile is Sony Ericsson K700i and I'm using Bluetooth between my mobile and PC. When it comes to browsing, it works sufficiently. But when I try to voice-chat through Yahoo messenger, I always get a few error messages which read that there are problems connecting to the voice server. I even tried the USB cable between my PC and mobile. But I haven't got any better results yet. My mobile always receives full signal. Airtel's customer care unit is not that informative and helpful. Should I inevitably shift from GPRS to non-GPRS service to make use of voice-chat? Or could I voice-chat using the very GPRS either by changing any mobile/OS settings or installing any programs? When I am chatting with Yahoo Messenger with Voice Beta 8 and the other person makes any change to their avatar my Yahoo Messenger crashes. I get a Windows message that Yahoo Messenger has caused an error and must close. I am given the opportunity to submit the error. Whether I choose to or not Yahoo Messenger quits. why can't I start a voice chat? I have no problems at all participating in a voice chat started by someone else, but yahoo messenger won't let me start one myself. I keep getting an error message. I checked the "DSP Group TrueSpeech(TM) Audio CODEC" on my computer and it says it's enabled and functioning properly. And I've uninstalled and reinstalled yahoo messenger several times and it hasn't fixed it. HELP!!!! Why when I enter the chat room voice is not working nor does the talk button appears.? I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the most recent yahoo messenger a few times. Followed the preferences in messenger. Tested and made sure I had the recent updates of my sound drivers on my computer. I even went as far as to do performance maintenance and scans on computer for problems and none was indicated. And still when I enter chat I get voice error. This has been going on since last weekend. It was working before yahoo had problems with the chat rooms last weekend. This is really frustrating me!!..What am I not doing right??

Does Yahoo messgenger 8.0 support Webcam behind proxy and/or firewall? Hi, The "connection setting" of Yahoo Messenger preferences allows use of proxies. If the proxy IP & port are mentioned, it is possible to use the yahoo messenger chat & voice chat. But when webcam is started, it displays error "Sorry, you appear to be behind a firewall and are currently unable to use the Yahoo! Webcam service". Yahoo help says that if may not be possible to use. Maybe with "No proxies" option it will always work. Why cant I chat in a chatroom.. I get in, but I get a chat error and cant see others typing or using voice? I was thinking this was a yahoo problem, but its been over a month.. I have cleared history, cookies, and some other stuff. I even redownloaded the messenger, to see if I had a faulty program.. Nothing seems to be working.. I have gone thru the verification process each time I have tried to get in a chat room.. voice chat problem ? for over a year when I go to chat rooms I don't have voice. It shows I have voice and I see all the other people that have voice but I dont hear anything. I have tried different versions of messenger, I normally chat with yahelite and have the same problem. I don't get any errors or anything. Yahoo Messenger Install? Alright here is the problem, each time that I do reinstall and uninstall the Yahoo messenger. I get a "Unsuccessful downloade" message after the 6th step. So each time I do the installing of the Yahoo Messenger there seems to be a glitch in the downloading process, like in the bar that says how much percent has been downloaded. I was just wondering if thats suppose to happen. And also each time that I long into chat rooms I always get a "voice error" box and then it says, "voice could not be started". I've tried everything and had a lot of people trying to help out with this problem. Please Help!!

Every time I attempt to connect to 2.0 yahoo chat. I cannot why? For some odd reason every time I attempt to go into any chat room on Yahoo. I cannot actually get into the chat at all. Becuase I get an error message that says to me. 2.0 chat is not connecting properly. Please try again or go to the front page. If I attempt to go to the front page of chat. Yahoo Messenger won't launch properly/stay open...? I seem to successfully install the software but when I launch YM it closes again immediately. I can't figure out why. I have re-installed several times as well as after removing all older versions or traces of YM from my PC and it hasn't helped. I haven't gotten much help from Yahoo itself so I thought I'd ask here. Please help me figure out whats wrong or find an alternative messenger program like the one's that incorporate multiple messengers, but can support yahoo voice/video chat. Thanks in advance!!! [edit 1] I don't have a virus. It has nothing to do with other active yahoo features/services/web content since I don't use them. It's not an issue of being online or not. To possibly explain what I'm experiencing more accurately... When I launch YM, the process appears in the task manager and before the sign-on screen even appears, it disappears from the process list. YM launches and closes in less that a second with no error message. [edit 2] Turned my firewall off temporarily and it made no difference.

my compose feature on my yahoo email does not work at all, nor the reply or forward features. How to fix? I am not able to compose an email message and when i try the page that pops up is an attachment like page and it says error on page in the done space (near the e). so do i have to reboot the whole yahoo (download again) or can i do something less dramatic to fix it? Why does Yahoo Messenger for Vista (beta) freeze when i try to make a pc-to-pc call? I have windows vista (duh) and downloaded YIM for vista beta, and have been making pc-to-pc calls without trouble up until tonight. For some reason, when i click on the "voice" tab of the chat window, YIM freezes up and i have to close out of the program completely and log back in. I also can't really receive calls. I have had friends attempt numerous times to no avail... When i accept the call, sometimes it will open the chat window in voice mode (which is further than i can get the other way) but i cannot hear my friend nor can my friend hear me, and other times it won't even say i accepted. Sometimes my friend will get an error message, but i never do.. The last way to do it, i have hovered over the name of the friend and used the call menu, but it goes to the call screen and says, "calling [insert name here]'s computer" but i never hear any ringing and my friend doesn't recieve the call. Please help!

Yahoo messenger locks up my XP Pro Machine? It takes a while for all to load and sometimes I get an error that it took too long to login When I really notice a pc crash is when I go to a chat room and am not fast enough to turn off the Voice chat.
